Teaching Hatha Yoga - Benefits for Global Public Health

Sunday, November 29, 2009

At a time when lack of good health habits is a common practice seems to Yoga has answers, and opportunities. Yoga philosophy is preventive healthcare at all levels of existence. There are many temptations that people form habits can lead to poor health. Fast food, huge out-to-eat portions, television, video games, computers, and lack of time, need to take care of us, have to create global obesity.

At a time whenPeople have so much technology and wealth, it is difficult to understand why people actually live in poverty and suffering from hunger. You might think that finding the people who would distribute better solutions for food and for those who are in trouble, too. Admitted to the efforts which are those of the feed better than ever before, but we have not developed a perfect system.

Some will say: "What is wealth?" and "I'm not rich." Consider the past, our ancestors about their next meal, accommodation concerned abouttheir heads, and disease, much more than the average person today. If you read this on a computer, the chances of living in your family line has improved significantly over the past 100 years.

Yogic principles have helped mankind for 5000 years. The art of life in moderation (Aparigraha) and selfless service (karma yoga), are good for our neighbors and also good for us. Over consumption is a form of gluttony, which is damaging to both parties. The personwho was hungry the food, while harming the person who used to be, for the sake of consumption, his or her health.

The case could easily be made that damage, drunkenness, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. When we consume more than we take our health out of balance. We do the same thing to our entire planet. We do not have to burn fossil fuels, as these industries do not want to. The polar ice is melting at a rapid pace, we are in denial and reduceTrees at a faster pace.

If we cut down trees, we are cutting away the "lungs of our planet." Through photosynthesis, trees may be mature enough oxygen for a family of four to produce, for about a year. Needless to say, if you have your property, keep the trees on them in good health. If you need to make a tree to plant two to take his place.

Yoga teachers have to teach the principles of Aparigraha and Karma Yoga. The health of the entire planet is at stake.Make your students aware of small ways in which they can help. As consumers, we can take action (karma) to lead the automotive industry more in the production of hybrid cars, and finally, the gradual abolition of the current gasoline-burning models. We invest in companies that open up to cleaner energy sources work.

So far as to make positive changes for the measure, the world has begun, but we must also dedicate it in the interest of the general health and future generations to change.
