Saturday, December 19, 2009

Yoga is a "preventative medicine" for children and adults. But the world does not include preventive measures. Just look at hunger, global warming, health and poverty. Now you can see that some people take action, but many do not.

Educating the public about the many benefits experienced by children of yoga practice is a full-time job for some yoga teachers. Although most of the public thinks of yoga postures as a "mild" form ofExercise, there are many more different aspects of yoga practice.

Yoga is a holistic approach to overall health. Yoga teaches proper breathing, diet, exercise, meditation, relaxation techniques and much more natural solutions to health problems.

Yoga and Ayurvedic medicine have dietary practices based on a person's constitution or dosha. The same classification can be made for the exercise routines. An Ayurvedic physician will likelyrecommend specific exercises based on a patient's dosha.

The whole concept of Yoga and Ayurveda is on preventive measures. There are also solutions for "damage control" when a person has an existing illness, but any doctor can agree that many of today's health problems are preventable.

Let's take a look at the global obesity. The public is very tired of hearing about obesity. Their spam filters are working overtime to pull all "Instant WeightLoss "methods in your mail box. If you read through the spam, you'll notice that spammers want to sell pills, no lasting solutions to the obesity. The spammer's approach to making quick money from the public.

If the majority of our population refuses to move is the easy money in the sale of pills, instant weight loss and "snake oil." There is a solution, but not like most of us. Yogic diet are fruits, vegetables, full, and natural foods. Even in India,It can be observed to eat that diabetes is on the rise as people "junk food."

As the Indian economy has improved, so has the "middle class appetite for processed foods. This runs parallel to the western social and economic structures.

What has this to do with yoga for children? Yoga is a lifestyle, and the sooner you that child for good health habits, the better the health of your child.

As parents, we have many possibilities, but establishingHealth habits in our children is an obligation. We also need to eat right and exercise, with our children. If you do not go with a yoga class, you can at any time your child on a walk. Parents are role models, and each child is the image that you create for him, or copy them.

Yoga classes for children are a gift from the parents' good health. Yoga offers children a better chance to develop good habits, stress can, toonatural solutions for good health and quality of life.
