If the warm winter have finally been extinguished, and romantic fireplaces comes the heat of summer, many of us go outside and non-active things we do not drive in eight or nine months as walking, cycling, water skiing done playing, and baseball. No wonder that the offices of physical therapists are so busy in the summer months.
Thankfully, we have our yoga practice, the critical importance during these months of increased activity. By our body flexible and strong, wemore likely to enjoy ourselves, and far less likely to harm us, while the annual trek up Mount Rainier, swinging that golf club, or play with the children in the family cabin. The goal of yoga is to make all parts of our body in harmony, so that we do our best to function and not hurt us. Finally, most injuries by challenging your muscles and joints are doing what they are not willing to do, cause! Yoga therefore means more moreReadiness.
One of our teachers, John Davie, was asked last summer if he wants to climb Mount Rainier. The plan was to hike) in stock Muir (about 10,000 feet high and back in one day. Although John had never walked in his life, he agreed. John and his friends walked and then ran all the way down. In the Paradise parking lot, St. John's 30 minutes of yoga before driving home. The next day he did not have any muscle soreness - even calf muscles - with the exception ofone sore on his rear end, where he was killed, while running down the hill!
Tense, hard muscles impair blood flow and thus to restrict oxygen and nutrients reach the cells. Yoga is these muscles, and that's why they took millions of yoga. Most of us have chronically tight hamstrings, a result of years of sitting. But if we try these muscles in the conventional manner before running or walking track, we risk our effort or injured lowerback. Yoga is a wonderful pose (Supta Pandangustasana) that your muscles without having the lower back in jeopardy hamstring releases. In fact, on the contrary, this approach relieves lower back pain! This attitude is especially valuable for cyclists and walkers and others who pull hard and the thigh. Also yoga and stretches on the secure consolidation of funds for all the muscles of the body.
Unlike regular exercise, yoga tones not only the musculoskeletal system, but also theinternal organs and nervous system. Our nervous system allows us to feel, and come in contact with the deeper aspects of ourselves. Therefore, our happiness depends on the health of our nervous system, because it forms the connection between mind and body. Yoga offers a complete workout without rattling our nerves, and instead nourishes and soothes. This explains the main differences between fitness and health. Fitness is, as we on the outside, our appearance, look for the form. Fitness isusually superficial and rarely an indicator of inner peace. Health is the interior, the functioning of our bodies and our ability to ward off illnesses and diseases, and live happy and fulfilling life. The healthier we are much more relaxed and calm we feel, the brighter and clearer in our mind, and the more stable our emotions. We rarely get upset or angry and we feel a life balance between effort and satisfaction. Fortunately, yoga is focused on the general health, not justFitness.
