Healing Quest: David Simon on ayurvedic principles

Dr. David Simon, Medical Director of the Chopra Center, talks about Ayurvedic guidelines for good health. The first topic is the principle of achieving well-being through conscious use of all of our senses. Our internal healing chemistry is activated by sounds, sights, tastes, smells and touch. We should all seek experiences that nourish all our senses on a daily basis. The second principle is that of Ayurveda present through the connection with the five basic elements: earth, water, fire, air andRoom. Connect with the earth by walking barefoot. Combine the water by going into or near a natural water body. Connect to the fire by deliberately the sun on your body. Connect with more air in the vicinity of plants, our "botanical friends." Connect with the space by extending your attention to the sky. The third issue is the possibility of letting go of harmful behaviors, addictions, or bad, while overall good addiction. Meditation, yoga and exercise are all goodAddiction.
